Contest Report

The second AUT Programming Contest took place on Friday April 7th 2017.

WS220-221 in the City hosted 22 teams with 58 contestants while MC212 in the South Campus hosted 6 teams with 16 contestants.  Teams in this part of the world are well know for entering contests late, and these contestants were no exception.  A week before the contest there were only 7 teams!

The problem set was made slightly more challenging this year, with 9 problems, the top 2 teams both solving 6 of them.  A small error in the judging data (an E which should have been an O) meant that 6 teams scored an extra point after the contest was over and the error located and fixed.

Thanks to our sponsors Datacom and ICT Services for the prizes.

Thanks to Shaun Wason who ran the South Campus room, to Harley Ogier and Jacqui Whalley who helped in the City, to Stephen Thorpe and Leanne Bint for booking rooms and finding sponsors, and to Art Brown for setting up DOMjudge at AUT.  Thanks also to Harley for providing some of the judge's solutions.
